Jon Sloper | Profile
Jon Sloper started out as a youth worker and school's counsellor before making a small living as a watercolour artist. In 1994 he started making websites and since then hasn't stopped.
During the late 1990's and early noughties he worked with Bill Crumbleholme on a number of arts projects, including RAFTdorset, Artefacts and setting up Monkton Gallery in the village where he lived. Artseeker grew out of these and other ideas shared by Bill and Jon during this time.
In 2008 the Artseeker project was started in earnest with Jon providing the technical expertise to design and build the website, and Bill developing the concept, marketing and management of the project. Jon's company, Alacrify continues to develop and support this site.
More Information About Jon
Jon's experience in creating and selling art gave him a real affinity for the Artseeker project. Traipsing around the South Of England to sell his paintings at Craft Fairs, Art Shows and other events gave him a real appreciation of the skill involved in marketing and selling works of art.
Jon's website expertise evolved out of practical challenges and the requirement to make a living at selling his paintings. Now it has extended to encompass highly complex online business administration system development, search engine optimisation and marketing skills, and lots of other technical know-how to make for interesting and highly useful websites.
His own company website can be found here: Alacrify. By the way, Alacrify means to inspire!
