About the Exhibition
Artwey member and sculptor Sarah Gilpin is participating in Dorset Art Weeks with Ann Wilson in Shaftesbury.
A farmyard gallery and sculpture garden in a beautiful rural landscape, just a five minute drive from Shaftesbury, with several artists showing both indoor and outdoor sculptures, paintings, and ceramics. ANN continues to work with home dug clay and the effects of smoke and flame on her sculptural forms and vessels, which are smoked in a dustbin or fired in her newly built wood-fire kiln.
SARAH'S conversations with her materials reveals their stories and natural qualities and ranges from hand-held cottonwood bark pieces to substantial stone sculptures for the garden.
