About Bronze Age Festival at Maiden Castle 19th and 20th September 2009

The South Dorset Ridgeway Heritage Project proudly promoted this Bronze Age Festival, in association with the Ancient Wessex Network.

The weekend event was attended by almost 800 people, the weather was excellent to the point of sunburn! There were lots of things for visitors to see and do and interesting people to talk to.

There was a display of creative arts and crafts inspired by the Bronze Age landscape and material culture.

Archaeologists were on hand to interpret the Bronze Age in south Dorset.
