About the Exhibition

A display of my most recent paintings inspired by walks along and around The Ridgeway.

I enjoy regular walks across the Dorset countryside and constantly draw and sketch what I see. Often my drawings will inspire a painting and generally I complete my paintings in my studio at home. I may return to a particular view several times to gain a better perspective in terms of form and colour.

During the weekend I will be drawing and painting using the immediate surroundings for my subject. I will also demonstrate how I make my ceramic sculptures.

There was a display of creative arts and crafts inspired by the Bronze Age landscape and material culture.

Archaeologists were on hand to interpret the Bronze Age in south Dorset.
